A guide for governors on how to review and approve a School Development or School Improvement Plan

Overview
The School Development Plan or School Improvement Plan is the key document governing board should reference when monitoring school improvement, but what should boards expect of this key plan?

This webinar provides practical guidance on how boards should work with their school leaders to ensure a School Development Plan is created that works for everyone and provides clarity on the standards to be achieved in the coming year. It explains how to be involved in agreeing the school priorities, challenging effectiveness and value for money of the plan and ensuring clear success criteria.

On this webinar you will learn:

  • The boards role in the School Improvement Plan
  • What does a good plan look like?
  • How to monitor cost effectiveness of the plan
  • How to check that all objectives are SMART
  • Ensuring clarity of success criteria
  • Developing your approach to monitoring the plan

All delegates receive an electronic copy of the presentation and supporting materials and resources to help them be more impactful in their governance role.
