This session explores key elements to maths teaching and learning to enable all children to succeed. Whether you are new to teaching or an experienced teacher and wish to think afresh about excellence in maths, this session is for you.
Who is this course for?
This course is for Primary Maths Subject Leaders, Classroom teachers and anyone with a keen interest in the provision for maths in their primary setting.
Outcomes
Delegates will learn about best practice in maths and gain new ideas to use within the classroom.

- Lesson Design
- Planning for breadth and depth
- Practical approaches to enable all children to make excellent progress
Kimberley Swanton is Deputy Headteacher at St Peter’s and has led Mathematics for a number of years in a range of primary schools. She is passionate about the planning process so that all children achieve the best they possibly can.
How will my School benefit?
Delegates will leave the session with practical approaches to use in the classroom and will be confident in their ability to plan for excellence in maths. There will be opportunities to ask questions, discuss how to plan specifically for their school setting and consider approaches for different groups of children.
